Logan Kluck won the WSRA Hornet Series exhibition race Sunday night at New Smyrna. Kluck chased down William Hartman who started on pole and led much of the race. On lap 17 is when Kluck finally caught Hartman and despite never relinquishing the lead the battle was still intense. Hartman turned the race's fastest lap and finished only 0.185 seconds behind Kluck. Coming in third was series co-founder Nick Brennan.
The drivers had nothing but good things to say about the race and all expressed some excitement about the series opener next week from USA International. In addition, WSRA President Ashley Finn had nothing but positive things to say after Sunday night. "Tonight's race was a fun event. I am glad we were able to attract some attention to prospective drivers and future sponsors. Adding the guys that raced tonight to those already committed to running the series and I think we are going to have one hell of a season. Nick Brennan has done an outstanding job putting together the rules package for this series and recruiting solid drivers. I think our fans will love the Hornet Series and be entertained all season. I am looking forward to the race next week when we head to USA International."
Fans and potential new drivers don't forget to tune in next week as the series is set to debut at 8:00 PM Eastern!
